Description | <head>Scope and Content</head><p>John Parker of Lees Hall, gentleman, to Thomas Stringer of Eyam, gentleman. Recites a deed of even date by which John Parker of Hymsworth, esquire, father of above mentioned John, leases to the said Thomas a messuage in Hymsworth lately occupied by Thomas Hudson with its appurtenances, and closes called Smithy Croft, Cowper Croft, Nether Sowter Croft, and land (described) in the Townefeild of Hymsworth, in Whysnawe, and in Guldfeild, excepting the Smithy, for 21 years at a yearly rent of 20 marks, a good capon at Easter, and two good hens at Christmas. Covenants to continue the lease for its full term should John Parker the elder die before the expiry of the term.</p> |
