Description | These records consist of South Yorkshire Police papers relating to the operational running of the police presence at Hillsborough and incidents that occurred following the Disaster.
The operational papers detail what particular police serials were responsible for on the day, contain charge sheets for offenders apprehended at the match, log books of items that were confiscated on the day and. The papers also include documents created following the Disaster including summary of complaints against police officers, South Yorkshire Police internal inquiry report and Analysis chart displaying key events (POL/1/1). Also included with these records are printed incident logs of all calls that were received by the South Yorkshire Police Control Room between the 14 and 26 April 1989 (POL/1/1).
The series does not include copies of the operational orders, which can be found elsewhere in the collection (See for example POL/9/1). |
