| Description | This series contains the photographs relevant to the Hillsborough Disaster; most of these were used in the Report to the Director of Public Prosecutions Taylor Inquiry and the Coroner's Inquests and will therefore contain reference number given to them during those processes.
This includes Press and Public Photographs (POL/4/1), South Yorkshire Police Photographs taken at Hillsborough Stadium (POL/4/2) and photographs of Hillsborough Stadium taken after the Disaster which include a large scale photograph of crowds on West Stand Terrace, floral tributes and negatives (POL/4/3).
Not all photographic material was digitised due to issues of duplication, quality, copyright and relevance.
There are duplicate copies of these photographs as well as other photographs throughout the South Yorkshire Police collection.
