| Description | The Cathedral Council consisted of the Bishop, the Provost, representatives of the Chapter (namely the Archdeacons and the Canons), representatives of the Parochial Church Council (including Churchwardens, Treasurer, etc.), representatives of the laity of the Diocese (including those making up the Twelve Capital Burgesses and Commonalty of the Town and Parish of Sheffield), etc. The inaugural meeting of the Cathedral Council was held on 22 Apr 1936. |
