TitleMaltby, Church of the Ascension, Anglican Parish
AdminHistoryMaltby (Rotherham) is in the Laughton Deanery of the Archdeaconry of Sheffield and Rotherham.

The Church of the Ascension (often described as being in 'New' Maltby) was established in 1912 when the population of the parish of St Bartholomew increased enough to warrant a second church. Latterly, the Chapel of the Venerable Bede (which in 1967 became a church and a parish in its own right) took over from the role of the Church of the Ascension.

The Church of the Ascension closed c. 1993. The building was converted into flats in 2008.
