AdminHistoryThe parish of St Margaret of Scotland was constituted in 1918 out of St Thomas, Brightside. An iron church, dedicated in 1918, was eventually replaced by the present church which was consecrated on 26th July 1935. When the parishes of St Thomas and St Margaret were united in February 1979 this became the parish church of the new parish of St Margaret and St Thomas.

The church of St Margaret's is on Jenkin Road and St Thomas is on Newman Road. Both are in the Ecclesfield Deanery.
