| AdminHistory | The ancient parish of Rawmarsh was formed out of Rotherham parish. The parish united with Rotherham Parkgate in 1960 following the closure of Christ Church Parkgate, and is situated in the Rotherham deanery within the Archdeaconry of Sheffield and Rotherham. The current church, built in 1839, occupies the site of an earlier twelfth-century building. A daughter church, St. Nicolas Ryecroft, was built in 1926 and licensed for marriages in 1978. |
