| Description | This is a classification of the contents of the two volumes which are styled Synopsis of the Wilson Manuscripts [RC/18 and RC/19]. They are here arranged in divisions, which are again subdivided, and in each subdivision the entries are put in chronological order, with the number of the volume of the Wilson MSS in a column, together with the page. It is not an alphabetical index, but really a guide to the different subjects with which the manuscripts deal, and is arranged so that the searcher has the reference number to all the documents before him on each particular subject
