TitleJames Montgomery to Miss Mary Roberts, written from Hartshead, Sheffield
DescriptionApologises for not sending the names of the Methodist ministers so that she may ask their wives to join her committee. Does not know the new ones nor whether they have wives but she could ask Mr Jones in the Market Place or Mr Gillat, the druggist. Gives the following list: Rev. Mr Rigge - lives just beyond Hutchinsons’ coach manufactory; Rev. Mr Rattenbury - married the daughter of Mr Owen, draper in High Street; Rev. Mr Reece - lives the door behind Mr Maclean’s, West Street; Rev. Dunn (I believe) - lives the door this side of Mr Maclean’s; Mr Walker - doesn’t know where he lives.
