The historical documents include: inauguration speech for the bonus scheme, 1865; a notice of holidays for workmen, 1 Jun 1900; Sheffield Smelting Company terms for purchase of ore [c.1888]; terms for the purchase of sweep (including in USA) [c. 1866]; report on the air raid damage to Royds Works, Brightside Bierlow, Sheffield, 1940-1941 during the Sheffield blitz (attached to this catalogue as a pdf), with photographs of the damage; correspondence with Glyn Mills and Company to open a banking account, 1857; miscellaneous correspondence and vouchers with Thos. Bradbury and Son, 1847 - 1863. The photographs relate to c.1880 - c.1953. Last entry in volume is 1981. |
