AdminHistoryE. Bullen enlisted as a private in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry [KOYLI] at Pontefract on 13th September 1916. He trained at Clipstone Camp in Nottinghamshire before embarking for France in December 1916. In January 1918 he had home leave, then returned to Ypres, being wounded on April 26th and subsequently treated at the 2nd Australian General Hospital at Wimeraux before returning to England on 5th May. He remained in England until the Armistice in November, when he was posted to Ireland. During most of 1919 he served at various places in England
