| CustodialHistory | On the abolition of South Yorkshire County Council on 31 March 1986, Sheffield Archives took responsibility for county collections. On 1 Apr 2009 the ownership of these items was split between two or more of the four councils. Doncaster items were transferred to Doncaster Archives in February 2009. Barnsley items were transferred to Barnsley Archives in Sep 2010. Rotherham items were transferred to Rotherham Archives in Oct 2010. |
