1) Defends a sermon he delivered yesterday in which he criticised attitudes that are creating unemployment and deies that it was an attack on the government.
2) Believes unemployment is a sin by the community.
3) Believes government's attitude towards closing pits was wrong, but also believes strike was a wrong move by NUM.
4) Thinks we need a new Dean Swift to satirize unemployment.
5) Thinks people should ask politicians of all parties to try and organise society so that there is work for all.

Band 4. Rail Transport. Discussion on Tony and Rony Show between several people remembering the railways in the past. Memories of working at Deepcar Station. Steam trains.

Band 5. Anthony Damms Cllr Chairman of the Housing Committee. Joins in interview with a couple who have bought their council house and object to paying a service charge. He tries to justify the charge. Phone-in from a caller who supports the couple and complains that the council does not do the work the service charge is supposed to cover.
