| Description | Fire insurance plans of central Sheffield produced by Charles E. Goad, civil engineer, 53 New Broad Street, London. The plans were produced as an aid to assessing fire insurance premiums and show internal divisions of properties, staircases, glass and wooden roofs, water supply etc. The occupiers and usage of commercial properties are indicated.
The plans are all printed on paper, coloured, at a scale of 40 feet to 1 inch (1:480), with the exception of nos. 3, 4, 19 and 20 which are reduced photographic copies at a scale of 70 feet to 1 inch (1:960).
The area covered by each plan is indicated below by the names of the streets bounding the area.
