AdminHistory | The Sheffield/Rotherham Land Use Transportation Study (LUTS) began in Aug 1972. Land projections were made by previous Local Authorities: Sheffield County Borough, Rotherham County Borough and West Riding County Council.
The LUTS team in consultation with the Authorities established the '1986 transport scenario' with regard to committed transport schemes, trends in public transport operation and levels of economic growth which in turn determined incomes, car ownership, motoring costs, fares and the value of time.

The JTPU had input in Land Use Transportation Study (LUTS) and South Yorkshire County Transport Analysis System (SYCTAS).
