AdminHistory	In 1967 the constabularies at Sheffield City and Rotherham were merged into the Sheffield and Rotherham Police (under Statutory Instrument 1967 No. 713: The Sheffield and Rotherham Police (Amalgamation) Order). In 1974 (under the Local Government Act of 1972) the Sheffield and Rotherham Joint Force was merged with part of the West Yorkshire Constabulary to form South Yorkshire Police (the borough forces of Doncaster and Barnsley had previously merged with the West Yorkshire Constabulary in 1968). From 1974 until 1986 see minutes of the South Yorkshire County Council Police Committee. After 1986 see minutes of the South Yorkshire Joint Authorities.
Description	Signed minutes. The committee minutes feature regular reports on road safety issues, as well as the administration of the contabulary and crime matters.
