| Description | The inaugural meeting of the South Yorkshire Police Authority’s Finance and General Purpose Committee took place on 9 May 1986. The committee was responsible for the monitoring and control of expenditure; overseeing the maintenance and improvement of police buildings and the police vehicle fleet.
Minutes of the committee were submitted to the following meeting of the full Police Authority.
The Police Committee Buildings Sub-Committee was a sub-committee of the South Yorkshire County Council Police Committee. It’s function was to oversee the maintenance and improvement of police buildings. Its functions were later taken over by the Finance and General Purposes Committee of South Yorkshire Police Authority. |
