Description | The Performance Review and Audit Committe was formed in Jun 1995 to exercise the South Yorkshire Police Authority’s powers in respect of all financial matters not delegated to either another Committee of the Authority or to the Chief Constable or the Clerk and Treasurer.
From Aug 1999 the Committee was known as the Planning, Performance and Audit Committee.
From Aug 2004 onwards the Committee, was known simply as the Performance Committee with the following remit: to exercise all the Authority’s functions in respect of holding the Senior Command Team, Basic Command Unit Commanders, and Heads of Departments to account for performance in relation to scrutinise the performance of South Yorkshire Police and approve reviews and their associated 'Review Definitions Documents' and 'Performance Improvement Plans'.
From Feb 2007 onwards, it appears that there were separate Audit and Performance Committees for which there are separate sets of agendas, draft minutes and papers (where this is the case, the name of the committee in question is reflected in the title of each item). |
