Description | These newsletters (and annual reports) are bound into volumes. The Sheffield Unitarian Monthly Record was a combined newsletter for the Upper Chapel and also its associate churches, which initially included Upperthorpe Chapel on Addey Street, and the Attercliffe Mission, Vestry Hall (formed in 1901 in connection with Upper Chapel). In May 1906, the Attercliffe Mission became the Attercliffe Unitarian School Church (later simply Attercliffe Unitarian Church). Other associated Unitarian churches which were later included in the Monthly Record were the Underbank Chapel, Stannington (added Apr 1909) and Unity Church, Crookesmoor Road (added Jul 1915, originally referred to as ‘Unity Hall’) which served as the new church for the congregation who formerly worshipped at Upperthorpe Chapel. |
