| AdminHistory | W. and G. Sissons Limited traces its origins back to 1786 and to a firm established by Samuel Roberts, George Cadman and Benjamin Naylor. Based in Eyre Street and later St Mary's Road in Sheffield, they manufactured Old Sheffield Plate and moved to electro-painting in the 1840s. The Sisson's family assumed complete control in 1858. The firm relocated to Calver Mill in Derbyshire in 1945 and in 1978 they moved to Carrwood, Chesterfield. The company's Employee Trust was established in 1981 to reflect the mutual trust between management and workers. |
