15 Nov 1968 - discussion on Britain's membership of NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organisation].

20 Feb 1970 - discussion on Britain's proposed entry into the Common Market. Branch reaffirms its objections.

20 Aug 1971 - Branch deplores the situation in Northern Ireland, and calls for the withdrawal of troops and the restoration of civil rights.

3 Sep 1971 - [16th] Duke of Norfolk [Bernard Marmaduke Fitzalan-Howard] condemned for not allowing the use of Norfolk Park by British Steel Corporation workers to demonstrate against unemployment.

7 Jan 1972 - Branch supports the Sheffield District Committee's decision to boycott the dinner to be held for the opening of the new AUEW House in Sheffield, "at a time when many of our members are suffering hardship from unemployment and short-term working..."
