Title'The Tactile Image'
Description'The Tactile Image' was an exhibition at Castle House, Sheffield, 18 - 28 Sep 2014. The exhibition, inspired by Clive’s determination to continue to create art despite his diagnosis, broke new ground in representing the art of photography by portraying images both in standard print form and in one or more corresponding tactile facsimiles. Using a number of different state of the art tactile printing techniques developed from around the world the exhibitiondis played diptychs and triptychs of individual images in 2D and 3D.

The images formed the UK's first photographic exhibition of 2D and 3D printed images based on the work of Clive Egginton.

Images are captioned in braille.

Created by the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB) from original photographs by Clive Egginton, Gemma Thorpe, Nathan Gibson, Andy Brown and Rosy Nesbitt.
