Activity | The Twelfth Club was founded by men who had served with the 12th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment (the Sheffield City Battalion) in the First World War. A memorial service was normally held in July each year to commemorate the Battle of the Somme in 1916, and an annual dinner was also held. The club was disbanded in 1976. |
