About the Catalogue

The Shetland Archives catalogue is a guide to our collections. We look after manuscripts, books, oral history recordings, maps and many other types of material concerning Shetland.

Development of the catalogue is ongoing and new records continue to be added on a regular basis. So far 75,000 records have been entered.

Please note that the catalogue only contains descriptions of the documents in our archive, and not digitised images from the collection.
