The chapel of Shaugh Prior was given to the Dean and Canons of Windsor ( D & C ) by the Crown in 1547, as part of the New Dotation.
Living held in plurality with Sparkwell from 1985 to 1993.
Today, the living of Bickleigh ( Roborough ) and Shaugh Prior is in the gift of a patronage board on which the D & C have one vote. The other members of the board, the Bishop of Exeter and The Right Hon Henry Massey have two votes and one vote respectively. |
