Modified design from a brocade óf the "Beaded Medallions Enclosing Four Mounted Lions" preserved in Horuji temple in Nara, Japan since the 7th century. The original design consists of two pairs of kings mounted on horseback shooting lions. This warp patterned brocade eliminates the flowering tree and shows only one hunter and lion. |
