DescriptionMinutes of the annual Annals of Botany committee meetings, both typescript and manuscript, and related correspondence. Meetings during this period were held in London at the Imperial College of Science or the Royal Society Rooms.

Also included are manuscript notes dated 1977 regarding the meeting minutes (f.1), which relate to an ANNALS OF BOTANY article on the history of the journal.

Issues discussed at the meetings include: a second series of the journal (2); a donation to the Hooker Memorial Committee; editor's reports; the jubilee issue (7); the production of an index to previous volumes; postage costs; votes of thanks; membership of the committee; reprinting volumes; the election of an auditor; article submissions; the resignation of Sydney Harold Vines from membership of the Annals of Botany Company (23); the resignation of William Thiselton-Dyer from membership of the Annals of Botany Company (29); the resignation of Dukinfield Henry Scott as editor and his election as Chairman of the company (37); the resignation of Isaac Bayley Balfour as editor and Chairman (39); their financial position; insurance; the subscription list; sales profits; the journal design; and the American editorship (46-48). Minutes contain details of those present at meetings.
