Description	Printed papers, manuscript and typescript letters and memorandums regarding the work of the Board of Agriculture Advisory Committee on Agricultural Science to advise 'the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries on all scientific questions bearing directly on the improvement of Agriculture, and especially on the methods to be adopted in (a) promoting the interests of Agricultural Research in Universities and other scientific schools; (b) aiding scientific workers engaged in the study of agricultural problems; and (c) insuring that new scientific discoveries are utilised for the benefit of agriculturists'. Includes letters regarding David Prain's membership of the committee, and letters to Prain from [Thomas Hudson] Middleton, Assistant Secretary to the Board of Agriculture. Includes grant applications from a wide range of organisations for funding from the Development and Road Improvement Funds Act, 1909. These applications include details regarding research proposals and exisiting research relating to plant physiology, plant pathology, plant breeding, fruit growing, plant disease, plant and animal nutrition, animal breeding, animal pathology, the dairy industry, agricultural zoology and agricultural economics. Includes manuscript notes and annotation from Prain on his recommendations regarding these applications, minutes of the committee, and papers regarding research scholarships in agricultural science. With printed images, and a printed plan of Royal Horticultural Society Gardens Wisley, [Dec 1910].
