Title	St Helena: Cinchona
Description	Manuscript correspondence and reports with press cutting and printed report, dating primarily 1868-1884. Includes letters to Joseph Hooker and Thiselton-Dyer, with letters from Hooker, Thiselton-Dyer, Jackson and Morris. Includes correspondence with the Colonial Office, and Hudson Ralph Janisch, Governor of St Helena. Includes information regarding the establishment of cinchona plantations, recruitment of John Chalmers as gardener, the cultivation of cinchona and other plants (including the aloe and 'New Zealand flax'), requests for seeds, and Morris's visit to the island in 1883.
