History	John Frederick Waby was made head gardener at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Trinidad and Tobago in 1873, and worked at the Botanic Garden of British Guiana [Guyana] (1878-1914). He later became a member a fellow of the Linnean Society (FLS) 1901. He collected plants in Barbados (1895).
