BiographyThe Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain was founded 15 April 1841., based in Bloomsbury Square, London. From 1843 it had it had a royal charter and identified its main objectives as the advancement of chemistry and pharmacy, the education of practitioners and the legal protection of its members. In 2010 the Society split into two bodies (The Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the General Pharmaceutical Council) so that the profession could be seperated.
