| Description | The 4th British Empire Games was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 4 - 11 February 1950. Three new sports, Fencing, Water Polo and Weightlifting were introduced. It is the only time that Water Polo has featured in the Commonwealth Games. Scotland sent a team of 18 athletes and won a total of 10 medals including 5 golds. |
